Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about using The Quiz Hub, our quizzes, and your privacy. This page covers accounts, data, advertising, accuracy limits, and how to report a problem.

New visitors often start with a category hub: Personality & Psychology, Mental Health & Clinical, Relationships & Dating, or Fandom & Entertainment. Each hub lists live tests with item counts, reviewer notes, and plain-language limits on what results can show.

We publish free quizzes without registration. Results appear on screen when you finish. Short screeners may help you notice patterns worth discussing with a clinician, but they are not diagnostic tools. Read our Disclaimer before treating any score as medical or legal advice.

Advertising keeps the site free. Google AdSense may show display ads; see the Advertising Disclosure and Privacy Policy for how cookies and partners work. Editorial choices are independent of sponsors, as described in the Editorial Policy.

Common topics in the accordion below

The questions cover diagnosis limits, free access, how quizzes are chosen, privacy and cookies, reporting errors, who writes the content, advertising independence, and crisis resources for mental health screeners. Expand each item for the full answer. If you need the Terms of Service or want to meet reviewers on the About page, use the links in the footer on every quiz page.

Can these quizzes diagnose a mental health condition?

No. Screeners on this site may help you notice patterns worth discussing with a clinician, but they are not diagnostic instruments. Only a qualified professional can assess and diagnose.

Do I need to pay or create an account?

No. Quizzes are free and open without registration. We show advertisements to cover running costs; see the Advertising Disclosure for how ads work.

How are quizzes selected for publication?

Each test is reviewed for clear wording, appropriate disclaimers on sensitive topics, and results that do not overstate what a short questionnaire can show. We decline material that copies paid clinical tools or promises certainty where none exists.

Is my data sold to third parties?

No. We use cookies for site function and advertising as described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. You can adjust ad personalisation in your browser or Google settings.

How do I report an error or concern?

Email [email protected] with the quiz URL and a short description. We review reports within five working days.

Who prepares the content?

A small editorial group with psychology writing and consumer health experience. Our review process is described on this page and in the Editorial Policy.

How does advertising on the site work?

Google AdSense may show display ads. Google and its partners can use cookies to tailor ads. Revenue does not influence which quizzes we publish or how results are worded.

Are cognitive quizzes the same as IQ testing?

No. They are informal puzzles. Valid IQ measurement needs standardised administration, timing protocols, and norm-referenced scoring. None of that applies here.

Can employers or schools use these results?

They should not. Validated occupational and educational assessments exist for that purpose. Our tests are for personal reflection or casual group discussion.

How often is content reviewed?

Quizzes are updated when feedback or published research warrants a change. Policy pages are reviewed at least annually; each shows a last-updated date.

Using results responsibly

Scores are meant for reflection and entertainment. They work best when you read the band description, check what the test cannot prove, and compare with a second quiz on a related topic. If a mental health screener suggests elevated distress, talk with a licensed clinician rather than relying on a single online score alone for any decision.
